La errata: cultura e historia Description An account of the resource En este libro, escrito con agudeza y erudición, Yanko González y Pedro Araya exploran una tensión esencial que atraviesa todas las culturas escritas: la obsesión por la corrección de sus textos, los que están llamados a transmitir con fidelidad las intenciones de sus autores. Sin embargo, todas las tradiciones escriturarias se han visto confrontadas con la realidad inexorable, ineluctable de las erratas. Ninguna técnica de reproducción de textos —copia manuscrita, composición tipográfica, linotipia, máquina de escribir o computador— fue capaz de evitarlas, ni siquiera todos los actores que desempeñaron el papel de corrector (salvo Dios, en la metáfora de la vida eterna, entendida como emendación de los gazapos de la existencia humana). La cultura e historicidad de las erratas, presentes en todos los sistemas de escritura, se remite a las razones que las produjeron y las producen: las manipulaciones torpes de la caja tipográfica o del teclado, los lapsus inconscientes de la composición o las erratas voluntarias que son creaciones lexicales, burlas irónicas o expresión de una protesta.
