Title A name given to the resource Libro Historia y Presente del Ferrocarril Valdivia “ Antilhue “ Osorno Description An account of the resource El presente proyecto de investigación patrimonial planteó relevar y difundir de manera masiva la importancia histórica y actual del Ferrocarril Valdivia “ Antilhue “ Osorno que significó a fines del siglo XIX una vital obra de conectividad para unir estas regiones aisladas hasta entonces con el centro del país. Con este propósito general se realizó la indagación y sistematización de los aspectos documentales para generar una línea de tiempo con su historiografía y las imágenes fotográficas desde sus inicios hasta nuestros días. Para ello se investigó en los archivos de la Biblioteca Nacional, del Museo Histórico Nacional, de la Asociación Chilena del Patrimonio Ferroviario, en Santiago, y en el Museo Van Der Maele de Valdivia junto a fuentes primarias y secundarias de la Región de los Ríos y de Los Lagos. Junto a ello se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad con los relatos de vida de ex ferroviarios y de vecinos de la línea del ferrocarril que hoy viven en las estaciones en desuso, para rescatar la cultura ferroviaria viva que forma parte de la memoria del ferrocarril es estas regiones. Complementariamente, se realizó un registro fotográfico y audiovisual de las estaciones del tendido para reflejar el estado actual del patrimonio del sistema ferroviario de ambas regiones para promover su rescate y posterior puesta en valor, sabiendo con lo que se cuenta y debe protegerse. Se combinan Imaginario (Iconografía del pasado) y Realitario (estado actual) del ferrocarril con los diferentes momentos de su línea de tiempo y con sus posibles proyecciones futuras. Se arribó, de este modo, a tres productos del proyecto: i. la publicación del libro Historia y Presente del Ferrocarril Valdivia “ Antilhue -Osorno; ii, la edición de postales con imágenes históricas; iii. Audiovisual en formato DVD de 12 minutos. Todo ello para su divulgación masiva gratuita en los establecimientos educacionales y en las actividades de promoción del tren en estas regiones.
